Being / Becoming: link to VRML demo

VRML demo:
To view a VRML file you must have a VRML plug-in installed in your web browser. If you do not have a VRML browser installed, please click the link at the bottom of the page to download and install a browser (PC only.) The demo of Being / Becoming works best in the blaxxun Contact 5.1 VRML browser. Other VRML browsers may have problems, for instance the moving images are over illuminated in the Cortona browser.

Navigation in VRML worlds:
The easiest way to move within the 3D space with the cursor keys. If you want to use the mouse to move around, put the cursor in the middle of the screen, press and hold the left mouse button, and drag the mouse forward and backward to move; right or left to turn.

Software:
The minimum recommended web browsers are Netscape Navigator 3.01 or Internet Explorer 3.01, although newer versions are much better. If you do not have a VRML plugin for your web browser, please see the links at the bottom of the page.

Hardware:
The bare minimum recommended hardware is a Pentium 100 PC with 32 MB RAM. Real-time interactive 3D requires a lot of processing power, RAM and a very fast graphics card, so newer/faster/bigger is definitely better. A graphics card with 3D acceleration is very helpful, especially if it has 8 MB or more of video RAM. The PC on which the current VRML spaces were developed had the following characteristics:

• Pentium 200MMX
• 96 Megabytes of RAM
• Matrox MillenniumII Graphics card with 8 MB of video RAM
• Windows 95 operating system
• Netscape 4.5 or Internet Explorer 4.0
